Tintagel Castle Ruins

Dear Diary (just for you Mary)

Just got back from some ruins out near the coast. Apparently King Arthur roamed around these parts for a while and these crazy dudes dressed in costumes (figure 1 below)
told us a story about how he got the idea for the round table. It involved a giant sea worm thing and some old dude with an altar that could sing. It was pretty cheesey but the presenters knew it so they made a few jokes here and there. Apparently the ruins date back around 2000 years ago (I guess they weren't called ruins back then though) so it was pretty dilapidated as you can imagine. It was another day of fantastic English weather but it actually made the place more interesting. We walked down some treacherous steps and muddy paths towards the cliffs on the coast. My footwear was reasonably inappropriate:
Out at the edge it was really rugged and I took some more photos:
Then I scared the crap out of the people I was with. I walked out the edge of the cliff (where they were to chicken to go) and I saw there was a wee ledge just below the ledge I was standing on. When I jumped down to it they shat themselves. Good times on the cliff.
