Last day in Europe

We got up and ate muesli and leftover burritos for breakfast. Then we went to check out Grenwich for something to do. It was actually surprisingly cool and I never realised the O2 arena was an arena inside a tent which was basically a mall thing. We went over to check out the river but it looked pretty scungy. A 2D boat went past but that was about it. We were keen to get a pitcher of long island ice tea but the Los Iguanas at the arena was closed. Instead we went to Southbank to hunt long island ice tea. We were successful, so we sat in the cold and drank cold drinks. We went to Camden town for a couple more drinks before heading to the restaurant for dinner. It was really cool to see so many people there, 17 or something. Gaz man did a real good job of organising shit. Here is the crew:

Cool people that were present were (from left to right): Laura, Matt, Tina, Sara, Greg, Chris, Sheree, Jess, Jesse, Henry, Sabrina, Gazman, James and of course me!

Afterwards we went to a pub and had a couple more drinks where Alana and Ali turned up. Cheer very much to everyone for a great last night in Europe.

Unfortunately we missed the last tube from Camden town home. For ages Gaz had been telling me how I needed to keep my oyster card topped up and it finally burned me as to get on a bus I needed it to have money on it (I had -65p on it after the trip to Camden). Luckily the tube station was kinda open just for loading the card. But then the machine was rubbish and wouldn't take my credit card (all the rest of them did). What a debacle. After I had loaded my card Hayden had realised we might be able to run to catch the last tube home from Kings Cross. We had a bit of a run but I conked out pretty bad and we missed it by miles. On the bright side we found a piano in the station and had a wee sing which was cool. After the piano we found this and we were a little bit pissed so this happened:

Finally we got home and continued to yarn until 5am or something.

So that is it for Europe. I am sitting here typing this in the departure lounge at Heathrow. It has been pretty fun but I think I am ready to go have a look at another continent. I haven't seen everything here that I want to but I reckon you could probably spend 10 years travelling Europe and still have stuff to see. At some stage you have to cut your losses so two and a half months seems like a good number.

Cheers again to everyone I have met and everyone that has hosted me. Its been great.

On to Iceland!
