Atomium is a little way out of the city center so I headed towards the metro station to go to Atomium and came across a massive festival thing going on in front of the Royal Palace, they had even laid grass over the paved area:
It had lots of stalls and music cranking. All sorts of stuff going on today! When I went to buy a ticket to go on the subway I was told travel was free today, you have to have some wins huh?!!!
Atomium was pretty kick ass in a crazy why-the-hell-did-they-do-that kinda way. Such an impressive structure. The panorama was OK but the inside of it wasn't up to much. It had a cool mirror-box atom structure thing.
But the real winner is the view of it from the outside. A corker of a day as well as you can see so that helped. I also went and had a look around "Mini-Europe" but it wasn't up to much either. It was all very well done but it seemed pretty tacky. It was quite expensive too compared to Atomium, but you gotta got to the crap things so that you can appreciate the good things right?
