Lazy and Loch Ness

So things have slowed down considerably now that I am hanging with Gary instead of Grant! Which is neither good nor bad (just so that I don't offend anyone). Obviously after such a heavy night of drinking and dancing like a maniac (I don't think I mentioned I stole a stag do mask off someone and danced like an idiot in the stupid club we were at, everyone was quite confused as to who I was) we had a very lazy Sunday. In the evening we went to meet some of Gary and Joanne's friends for dinner. Two of them are cycling from Lands End to John O' Groats to raise money for some charity. I should really know which one but unfortunately I'm a bad person. We were gonna get a taxi home but we got scared off by a guy pretending to be a taxi warden guy (helping people catch taxis and opening the doors for them) so we had an epic walk home. I think he was hammered drunk. Either that or just really Scottish.

Then today (yes so little happened 2 days have been combined into one blog for once!) we just drove up from Edinburgh to Gary's parents house. The trip was quite un-eventful. I feel like I sound like a broken record here but the landscape was not too dissimilar to NZ. Seems the landscape everywhere is similar to NZ. I am intrigued to go to a desert to find out if it still looks similar. Maybe it will remind me of the desert road? Not sure.

We did drive past Loch Ness on the way and I was really surprised that we saw Nessy:

I was really sceptical when we were on our way there as I thought it was all a big hoax like Fiordland moose or the yeti, but apparently I was wrong. I think something like 42.35% of people that go to Loch Ness see Nessy, so we were still pretty lucky, but I thought it would be more like 0%.
